Dr. Griggs, (Owner)

Dr. Mia Griggs is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to fostering healing within the intricate web of our most important relationships. Her practice is rooted in a deep understanding that our personal well-being is inseparable from our relational and historical contexts.

About The Owner

Dr. Mialauni "Mia" Griggs (she/her), LMFT, is the founder of Wildflower Collective. She works with individuals, couples, and diverse relationship structures including monogamous and ethically nonmonogamous partnerships through a systemic, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive lens.

Her clinical and research work centers on how the systems we live inside historical trauma, current sociopolitical climates, ethnic-racial identity development shape the way we show up in our closest relationships.

She draws on decolonial approaches to healing and holds space for clients to feel seen and affirmed in their full humanity.

At the heart of her work is one conviction: healing happens in relationship, and everyone deserves relationships that feel safe, liberating, and whole. Check me out on

What makes us different

Patient-centered care

At Wildflower Collective, we recognize that the traditional history of therapy is deeply intertwined with colonization and capitalism. For too long, the mental health field has focused on "fixing" individuals identifying what is "wrong" with you so you can be returned to the very systems that caused the harm in the first place.

Dr. Griggs and our team believe that true healing requires a departure from this cycle.

Healing at Wildflower Collective is a collaborative act of reclamation. We provide the tools to help you navigate conflict, manage chronic illness, and improve sexual wellness not so you can "fit in," but so you can stand firmly in your own truth and satisfaction.

We shift the focus from "functioning for a system" to thriving for yourself. Our practice is built on the following pillars:

Deconstructing the "Diagnosis" Culture

Healing for Personal Satisfaction

Systemic Awareness

The Power of Agency

Culturally Responsive

Relationally Ethical

Insurance

Quality care, made accessible through your insurance.

Reviews

What our patients say about us

"I’ve spent years in therapy feeling like I was being coached to just 'cope' with a world that wasn't built for me. At Wildflower, the focus on historical trauma and systemic influence changed everything. For the first time, I felt like my therapist truly understood the weight I was carrying. I’m finally pursuing wellness for my own satisfaction, not just to survive the work week."

-A.R., Individual Client

"Navigating a chronic illness diagnosis while managing my mental health felt impossible. The systemic approach at Wildflower Collective helped my partner and me see how our health, our history, and our relationship were all connected. They helped us find joy and intimacy again, reminding us that healing isn't about being 'fixed'—it's about growth."

-S.T., Couples Client

"I spent years in therapy feeling like I was just being 'repaired' so I could keep performing at a high level in a job that was burning me out. My work with Wildflower Collective was the first time a therapist asked me what I wanted for my own satisfaction, separate from my productivity. Deconstructing those systemic pressures allowed me to actually breathe and grow on my own terms. It wasn’t just treatment; it was a reclamation of my life."
